Job Summary
Handle and deliver raw materials and parts to shipping, loading, and receiving departments by reading batch sheets and customer orders to determine items for movement. Accurately select products from assigned locations, count, weigh, and examine packaging for conformance to specifications, then sort materials on racks or bins by predetermined sequence. Assemble customer orders from stock, place them on pallets or shelves, and convey orders to the packing station while comparing packed items against customer orders. Enter records using a computer, verify shipment details against vendor compliance, and assist with bagging, labeling, and boxing outbound packages. Fasten postage to packages and participate in special projects to improve quality and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be 18 or over
- Ability to work as a team player
- Ability to unload, check-in, count and sort incoming products to verify receipt of items on bill of lading and Packing Lists
- Ability to work overtime if required
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to use hands/arms to reach for and handle merchandise and materials
- Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to regularly lift, push and/or pull up to 10 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift, push and/or pull up to 40 pounds
- Ability to infrequently lift, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift experience a plus
- Experience in a Warehouse or Distribution Environment
