Job Summary
Assemble orders and prepare goods for production while unpacking, inspecting, and storing incoming materials and supplies. Verify job order accuracy, document damages and discrepancies, and maintain complete paperwork. Interface with production staff to solve problems, stage daily job orders, and manage OS&D documentation for receipts. Unload trucks, check contents for defects, and communicate with customer service and purchasing. Pick materials from storage, package for shipment, and allocate items to designated locations within an ERP system. Organize warehouse space, contribute ideas to optimize procedures using LEAN practices, and carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse and forklift experience
- Willingness to follow Safety requirements
- Willingness to adhere to standard processes and instructions
- Mechanically inclined with the use of hand tools
- Ability to work in shop environment
- Self-motivated and goal driven
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good organization, interpersonal, and interaction skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Demonstrated adaptability to unplanned events and changing priorities
- Must have the ability to be trained in the operation of multiple styles of forklift
- Can lift and carry products up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to operate warehouse equipment in a safe manner including certification as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- Intermediate PC skills
- Knowledge of WMS or ERP (ex: SAP, Syteline)
- Forklift experience
