Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for loading and unloading pallets, bags, and cases on and off trailers and vehicles using a forklift or pallet jack. The role requires maintaining high standards in handling freight, proper document verification, ensuring safe operation of powered equipment, and compliance with company safety rules. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a forklift license. Additional skills include strong proficiency in math, organization, and the ability to work independently.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Forklift Certification
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving or other related fields (5 years preferred)
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of warehouse, inventory, and shipping operations methods and practices
- Ability to read, write and speak English
