Job Summary
Summer Warehouse Associate – 1st Shift responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, rotating inventory, picking and filling orders, and organizing related paperwork in a cold environment. Use forklift and pallet jack, follow HACCP/SQF programs and all food safety procedures, SOPs, and PPE requirements. Maintain inventory accuracy, rotate stock by code dates, communicate shortages and errors, and load/unload according to safety standards. Must be 18+ and obtain forklift and pallet jack licenses; read/speak/write English for documentation. The role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is based in Albert Lea, MN, with a 6:30 AM start and varying end times, full-time, non-exempt.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Obtain forklift and pallet jack license
- Read, speak, and write English to interpret and communicate with others about documentation
- Knowledge of HACCP and SQF programs (preferred) or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of Food Safety procedures and SOPs (as applicable)
- Ability to follow safety standards and wear PPE
- Experience with loading/unloading trucks and inventory rotation (preferred)
- Ability to work in a cold environment
- Attention to detail and basic math for counting and paperwork
