Job Summary
Warehouse Associate – Shipping Department responsible for outbound order accuracy, pulling, verifying, and staging outbound orders with right product, quantity, and documentation. Ensure shipping documentation (bills of lading, packing slips, delivery confirmations) is complete and accurate before shipment, and perform a final physical check on staged orders to prevent discrepancies. Coordinate with counter sales and dispatch on priority or time-critical orders. Maintain an organized, safe shipping area and operate shipping equipment safely. Must show ownership by addressing shortages or documentation issues, and be able to lift up to 60 lbs. Will-call orders must be staged and ready before customer arrival. The role emphasizes accuracy, quality control, and continuous improvement in the shipping process.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift or pallet jack certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and standard computer tools (Excel, email) is preferred but not required
