Job Summary
Maintain housekeeping and contamination control standards while greeting customers and verifying order accuracy with signatures. Pull, identify, and sort materials on racks or bins per predetermined sequences, then receive shipments, unpack, and validate rejects or shortages. Prepare outbound shipments following established guidelines and resolve issues independently. Requires a high school diploma, basic problem-solving skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; forklift certification is highly desired. Regular business hours with occasional schedule changes.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 6 months or less experience
- Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material
- Able to communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers
- Fork Lift experience and certification
- Warehouse Operations experience
- Basic problem solving ability
- Some creativity to generate solutions or improve effectiveness within well-established boundaries
- Some discretion in decision making and setting priorities within well-established parameters
- Regular exposure to stresses (20-80% of the time)
- Frequently involves changes in priorities, complexity and/or quantity of work
- Work is routinely performed during regular business hours with rare exceptions
- Significant immediate impact on expense, efficiencies or achievement of overall department and company objectives
