Job Summary
Contribute to a daily culture focused on employee safety by following Standard Operating Procedures and addressing safety concerns immediately. Receive material from vendors and verify quantities against packing lists, then keep incoming orders stocked orderly in designated areas. Prepare branch orders, process paperwork including postage and labels, and operate machinery such as forklifts and reach trucks. Load common carrier vehicles, perform inventory counts to reconcile discrepancies, and conduct minor equipment maintenance. This role is not permitted to make deliveries.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers
- Ability to handle basic issues and problems
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to accurately complete job tasks
- Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Basic computer knowledge
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Occasionally – up to 20%
- Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to handle Up to 10 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to handle Up to 25 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to handle Up to 50 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to work in an environment exposed to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and/or exposure to heat and cold - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to handle electrical hazards; risk of electrical shock - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to handle or work with potentially dangerous equipment - Constantly – at least 51%
Desired Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience
- General knowledge of electrical products
- Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred
- High School or GED - Preferred
- General knowledge of electrical products a plus
