Job Summary
Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, reconciling quantities against packing slips and purchase orders while ensuring accurate documentation and damage checks. Assign job designation labels to materials, organize designated storage areas, and maintain a clean, organized warehouse space. Assist project teams with storage, retrieval, and material returns, while operating a forklift competently and managing vendor coordination for routine maintenance and facility repairs. Procure office supplies across Houston offices and support fleet needs as required. This role supports the Dallas area with occasional travel to Houston, Austin, or other Texas locations, requiring a team player with strong communication skills and familiarity with shipping platforms.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Display a positive attitude to fellow team members and clients
- Willingness and ability to be a team player
- Ability to lift between 50 – 75 lbs unassisted
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret shipping and receiving documentation
- Ability to focus and complete assigned tasks and prioritize when given multiple tasks
- Organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and follow through
- Must possess the ability to identify missing or back ordered materials, effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors and vendors
- Must be fluent in all applications contained in the Microsoft Office Business Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook)
- At least 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with shipping platforms such as FedEx and UPS
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
