Job Summary
Receive incoming donations and sort merchandise according to proper procedure, including loading and unloading items while ensuring they remain undamaged. Maintain cleanliness of warehouse areas, restrooms, sorting zones, and grounds, and manage commercial waste receptacles by breaking down large unsalable items. Operate heavy equipment as needed and assist the Warehouse Assistant Manager with daily duties. This part-time role requires flexibility for overtime and holiday work, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and education of donors within our faith-based charitable mission.
Required Qualifications
- Must be trustworthy
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Must maintain a neat, professional appearance
- Must be able to work safely and co-operatively in a variety of situations with a variety of team members
- Must have normal mental and visual capabilities
- Must be able to stand, walk, reach, bend and stoop for long periods
- Must be able to handle, feel and/or reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to work on some holidays
- Must be able to work some overtime
- Must be able to handle confidential information
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment
