Job Summary
Hand stack pallets to appropriate heights, load and unload materials from trailers by hand, and move pallets or materials around the distribution center. Check loads to ensure they are secure and examine products to verify conformance to quality standards. Coordinate trailer moves within the yard management system and accurately complete production paperwork to track progress. Communicate regularly with the Shift Lead or On-Site Manager. This role requires working Tuesday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM at a facility in Galesburg, MI, with a starting pay of $17.00/hr. You must have a high school degree or GED and be able to work in extreme conditions while wearing required PPE.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
