Job Summary
Hand stack pallets to appropriate heights, load and unload materials from trailers by hand, and move pallets or materials around the distribution center. Check loads to ensure they are secure and examine products to verify conformance to quality standards. Coordinate trailer moves within the yard management system and accurately complete production paperwork to track progress. Communicate regularly with the Shift Lead or On-Site Manager. This role requires a high school degree or GED and the ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, and air particulate. PPE is mandatory, and the position involves lifting up to 70 pounds occasionally. Required Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
- Ability to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision and color vision
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
- Eye protection
- Ear protection (mandatory at several locations)
- Safety shoes
