Job Summary
Process all outbound freight not branch related, including checking, counting, labeling, packaging, and palletizing products for shipments ranging from small parcels to multiple pallets. Ensure all items are expeditiously processed in the Chadwell Supply computer operating system and accurately record and track shipments. Serve as the primary point of contact between the Distribution Center, Inside Sales, and Customer Service departments. Communicate with vendors and freight companies regarding discrepancies, damages, and claims. Prepare shipping documents for FedEx, common carriers, or other providers while monitoring reports to ensure proper ticket entry. Handle will call customer processes, including pick-ups, order placement assistance, and COD order processing. Compare carrier costs using the Starship program to optimize shipping expenses. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to finish, with a full-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Be in good physical condition
- Capable of lifting in excess of 60 pounds
- Capable of standing for extended periods of time
- Capable of climbing steps and ladders
- Capable of bending, stooping and carrying products up steps, stairs and down ramps and walkways
- Exceptional computer literacy
- Experience with computer systems
- High School Diploma
- GED
- AS
- BA
