Job Summary
Read pick sheets, travel to warehouse locations using a pallet jack, and select product types and quantities. Build pallets according to food safety procedures, including visual inspections and proper placement to minimize cross-contamination. Load pallets onto trucks in designated zones while operating equipment like forklifts and scanners safely. Maintain a clean and safe workspace by addressing spills, disposing of trash, and reporting equipment issues to management. Complete paperwork and utilize a wearable computer to track time for productivity reporting. Work assigned shifts with regular attendance and overtime as needed to meet workload demands.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree
- 6 months of previous warehouse experience
- Forklift and pallet jack license/certification
- Knowledge of safe lifting procedures
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines
- Skill in building pallets of products quickly, accurately and safely
- Ability to operate forklift and/or pallet jack and maneuver in tight areas
- Ability to meet the minimum productivity levels established by the company
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations
- Ability to perform basic math functions (e.g. add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Ability to solve problems
- Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (e.g. safety shoes)
- Ability to stand

- Ability to reach with hands and arms
