Job Summary
Reads pick sheets, travels to proper warehouse locations, builds and loads pallets onto trailers while following safety and product-handling standards. Responsibilities include labeling products, ensuring correct quantities, operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners) safely, maintaining clean and safe work areas, reporting issues to management, completing paperwork and time-tracking using a wearable device, and meeting productivity goals with regular attendance and possible overtime. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 6 months of warehouse experience (preferred), forklift and pallet jack certification (preferred), knowledge of safe lifting and food safety guidelines, and proficiency in basic math and English for safety and communication.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma/GED/equivalent
- Experience: 6 months of warehouse experience preferred; or equivalent
- Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Forklift and pallet jack license/certification preferred
- Professional Skills: Knowledge of safe lifting procedures and food safety guidelines
- Skill in building pallets quickly, accurately and safely
- Ability to operate forklift and/or pallet jack
- Read, write and communicate in English related to job and safety regulations
- Perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Reasonable accommodations available to enable performance of functions
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
