Job Summary
Receive palletized freight, put items away in racks, and shape inventory using material handling equipment. Load and unload trucks, prepare orders for pickup by customers or trucking companies, pick orders, and label boxes. Handle occasional lifting of materials up to 30 pounds while operating machinery with required safety gear including eye glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Maintain a fair workload, prioritize tasks, and meet group deadlines within the warehouse team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E. D
- Must be 18 years or age or older
- Job Knowledge: Understands duties and responsibilities, has necessary job knowledge, has necessary technical skills, understands company mission /values, keeps job knowledge current, is in command of critical issues
- Dependability: Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability; handles change, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure, and meets attendance/punctuality requirements
- Product Knowledge: Understands product and relevant product line, understands customer's needs, and product handling/storage requirements
- Productivity: Manages a fair workload, volunteers for additional work, prioritizes tasks, develops good work procedures, manages time well, and accurately handles work flow
- Teamwork: Meets group deadlines and responsibilities, listens to others and values opinions, helps department leads meet goals, welcomes newcomers and promotes a team atmosphere
- Must be able to lift materials and product up to 30 pounds
- Must wear safety equipment including eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats
- Must not wear loose fitting clothes or jewelry
