Job Summary
Pick and pull merchandise, load and unload stock to and from other facilities, and manage customer loadouts safely and efficiently. Receive truck shipments, identify, tag, and break down merchandise inside trailers for removal. Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move products within the warehouse. Inspect rental vehicles, complete paperwork, and use RF scanners to process orders. Greet customers promptly, wrap and secure items to vehicles, and confirm correct merchandise delivery. Maintain a clean, safe environment while adhering to asset protection policies and safety procedures. Work independently across all shifts, holidays, and weekends in a climate-controlled warehouse.
Required Qualifications
- Adhere to the AFW asset protection policies and identify and prevent fraud
- Knowledge of the correct lifting/team lifting techniques
- Ability to work 0 to 35 feet above the ground
- Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment
- Ability to be trained on the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions accurately
- Ability to efficiently work independently of direct supervision
- Able to have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends
- Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily
- Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back
- Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 100 lbs. frequently and ability to handle/manipulate up to 250 lbs. frequently
- Requires lifting, griping, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving merchandise 8 hours or more daily
- Ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas
- A pre-employment drug screen, background and fit for duty exam check must be passed upon job offer
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker preferred but not required
