Job Summary
Unload materials from vendor trucks, inspect items for quality standards, and stock them into bins or racks using a predetermined sequence. Transfer materials to shops for modification, assemble customer orders into boxes and pallets, and pull orders for delivery or stock-to-stock transfers. Load goods onto trucks or transfer them to the packing area using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment. Scan data into the inventory database and prepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air Shipments. Adhere to safety policies, report workplace hazards immediately, and maintain cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and customer guidelines. Operate heavy machinery as required while wearing PPE.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
- Must have a current, valid driver's license and acceptable record at all times
- Ability to learn MRC Global, federal, health, and safety regulations
- Typing and basic computer skills
- Knowledge of or ability to learn MRC Global warehouse operations and business processes
- Basic math and good reading skills
- Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status
- Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and respond to inquiries
- Ability to understand and comply with MRC guidelines and expectations, including Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines
- Able to lift 25-50 pounds overhead
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Operate heavy machinery/tools (as required)
- Able to work overtime and weekends
- Able to work in the elements, such as in extreme temperatures (hot/cold)
