Job Summary
Unload material from vendor trucks, inspect items for quality standards, and stock inventory into bins or racks by predetermined sequence. Mark materials with correct identifying information, assemble customer orders, and pull orders for delivery or stock-to-stock transfer. Load items onto trucks or transfer to packing areas using forklifts, overhead cranes, and heavy equipment. Prepare documentation for UPS, LTL, or Air Shipments while adhering to safety policies and maintaining warehouse cleanliness. Operate heavy machinery as required and report workplace hazards immediately. Work in a warehouse environment involving physical exertion, potential exposure to loud noises, and elements, with overtime and weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
- Ability to learn MRC Global, federal, health, and safety regulations
- Typing and basic computer skills
- Knowledge of or ability to learn MRC Global warehouse operations and business processes
- Basic math and good reading skills
- Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status
- Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently
- Ability to understand and comply with MRC guidelines and expectations, including the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines
- Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds overhead
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends
- Must be able to work in the elements, such as in extreme temperatures (hot/cold)
