Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate contributes to Mattress Firm's success by receiving incoming product, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and ensuring proper storage of inventory. This role communicates with customers to ensure world class service and operates according to safety policies and procedures. Essential duties include loading/unloading from delivery trucks and vendor shipments, staging deliveries, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, inspecting products for defects, obtaining signatures on paperwork, assisting in customer pickups, participating in inbound/outbound quality assurance processes, operating warehouse equipment, and ensuring compliance with company standards. Requires completion of training modules, adherence to safety policies, and professional communication with internal and external contacts. Benefits include growth opportunities, health plans, and pay-on-demand options; compensation is a base pay rate of $19.00 per hour, with potential for additional bonuses for leadership roles and discretionary incentives; must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1+ Years general work experience preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Knowledge of general warehouse operations
- Knowledge of Powered Industrial Trucks for product relocation and safety inspection
- Microsoft Office products (preferred)
