Job Summary
Pick, fill, and pack orders on a timely basis, including pipe and wire cutting, while loading and unloading materials and trucks. Safely utilize power equipment such as mechanical lifts to fulfill orders and restock shelves. Keep the warehouse clean and organized by disposing of leftover packing materials, and maintain accurate inventory management through regular stock counts and bin refills. Receive and process incoming stock, then communicate with other departments regarding order status or inventory issues. Work in a team environment to ensure efficient operations, moving, storing, or unloading various materials by hand or with machinery. Shifts are Monday through Friday from 2pm to 10:30pm at the Plymouth, MN branch.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED
- 1 year working in a warehouse environment as a team member, working with power equipment, and pulling orders
- A solid understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes
- Math skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations and to other employees of the organization
- Self-motivated and self-starter
- Organized, strong time management skills. Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and collaborate within a multi-functional team
- A team player – work together with others to accomplish common goals of company
- Strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
- Detail oriented, organized, consistent, and tenacious
- Must be available for Plymouth, MN branch Mon-Fri, 2pm-10:30pm
Desired Qualifications
- Wholesale distribution and/or retail experience preferred
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC components preferred
