Job Summary
Conduct inbound receiving, outbound shipping, and picking operations for online orders and retail stores. Inspect cartons for quantity and condition, then prepare, label, and scan merchandise as required. Sort and route items, operate simple warehouse equipment, and log inventory data into systems. Perform stock handling tasks including packing, unpacking, banding, and assembling goods. Move cartons manually or mechanically and resolve discrepancies in processing. Work Monday through Friday during peak season hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate clearly in English
- Requires the ability to understand and follow general and/or written instructions
- Ability to learn computer processing systems
- Ability to work efficiently
- Ability to determine which prescribed steps to take to process problem cartons and to resolve identified discrepancies
- Familiarity with use of contemporary merchandise processing equipment (i.e. hand-held scanners)
- Familiarity with use of warehouse equipment and inventory systems
- Physical Essential Function (Lifting): Frequent 0 – 30lbs; Occasional 30 – 75lbs
