Job Summary
Receive, count, and record shipment data while matching packing lists to actual merchandise. Pack, unpack, and mark stock items using identification tags or electronic tools. Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas, operating forklifts or other machinery as needed. Verify computations against physical stock counts and inspect items for wear or defects. Identify incorrect or short-shipped items immediately and notify supervisors. Maintain work area conditions by keeping spaces free of trash and ensuring products are stored correctly. Follow safety policies and procedures while exercising judgment under general supervision. Perform order layout changes and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes
- Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- Specialized skills training/certification
- Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility
