Job Summary
Receives, counts, and records shipment data into the system while matching packing list information to actual packed merchandise. Prepares packages for storage, packs and unpacks stock items with identification tags, and verifies computations against physical counts. Inspects merchandise for wear and defects, notifies supervisors of incorrect or short shipments, and delivers products to designated areas. May operate forklifts or other machinery and performs order layout changes as assigned. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for over 60 minutes, and work in environments with moving machinery and temperature extremes.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes
- Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility
