Job Summary
Operate material handling equipment and remote frequency devices to update warehouse management systems while receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping orders. Handle hazardous products in a controlled environment, adhering to strict safety standards, GMPs, and regulatory practices including ISO, CGP, and WHMIS. Work on conveyor systems and perform cycle counting or physical inventory when required. Maintain a standing position for full shifts, lifting goods up to 50 lbs, and utilize RF technology and PCs for efficient order processing.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of General warehouse experience preferred
- Able to lift or lower goods up to 50lbs. to or from waist level
- Qualified equipment operator required (fork lift, order picking truck, reach truck)
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good interpersonal skills
- Motivated, willing to learn and able to work independently
- Flexible with hours of work and with assignment of tasks as rotation
- Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
- Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
- Standing for full shift
- Operate material handling equipment in a safe and controlled manner within a warehouse that stocks hazardous products
- Operate remote frequency devices and or computer workstations efficiently in order to update warehouse management and transportation management systems
- Receive, put away, replenish, pick, pack, ship orders, and work on conveyor
- Follow the company processes, policies and regulatory practices, including handling of hazardous materials, transportation of dangerous goods, ISO, CGP, WHMIS, and Asbestos
