Job Summary
Operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment including Turret, Man-Up, Center-rider, and Standup forklifts to pick parts, verify materials, and move them to processing areas. Prepare and pack customer orders using standard work instructions while utilizing hand-powered and semi-automated packaging equipment. Maintain accurate records for receiving, stock management, and shipping, and adhere strictly to site safety policies and 6S principles. This full-time role in West Memphis, AR, requires a high school diploma and willingness to lift up to 75 pounds. Candidates must be able to work extended periods standing, walking, and bending in varying warehouse conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds with assistance
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions common to a warehouse setting (e.g., varying temperatures, noise levels)
- Must be able to safely operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment
- Ability to use computer terminals and RF scanners: Comfortable with basic computer navigation and operating RF scanning devices
- Good communication and teamwork: Effectively communicates with team members and contributes positively to a collaborative work environment
- Proactivity with focus on results (KPIs): Demonstrates initiative and a commitment to achieving performance goals
- Organized and able to adhere to 6S: Maintains an organized workspace and follows 6S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety)
- Ability to operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) including Turret, Man-Up, Center-rider, or Standup forklift
- Basic Math, Reading, Writing: Basic understanding of math concepts, ability to read and comprehend instructions, and legible writing skills
- Measuring Equipment: Basic ability to use and read measuring equipment
- Must be able to safely operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Technical/Vocational education
- Special License/PIT Certification
- Experience or a willingness to learn and operate various PIT equipment safely and efficiently
