Job Summary

Load, unload, sort, pick, stock, and stage materials throughout the warehouse and yard. Prepare items for shipment or customer pickup by securely packaging materials using shrink wrap, strapping, or other protective methods. Verify product accuracy and condition before staging or shipping, and install protective devices such as bracing or padding to prevent damage during transport. Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment to move goods safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Assist customers, installers, or subcontractors by fulfilling orders or locating materials, and may drive company vehicles to pick up or deliver materials as needed. This role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for periods exceeding 60 minutes. White Cap operates approximately 500 branches across North America, providing concrete accessories, chemicals, tools, and building materials to professional contractors.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes
  • Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time

Desired Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
  • Basic understanding of shipping, receiving, and material handling procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials
  • Willingness to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
