Job Summary
Coordinate inbound and outbound freight shipments, schedule carriers, and process bills of lading while inspecting goods for damage. Load and unload trucks safely, pick and pack customer orders, and maintain inventory accuracy using NetSuite through cycle counts and audits. Operate material-handling equipment and resolve freight discrepancies to support on-time delivery objectives. Requires 2+ years of distribution experience, forklift certification, and ability to lift 70 pounds. Full-time role at $18-$22/hr with medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits. This position offers a clear path into warehouse supervision and management within a growing distribution organization.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of warehouse, distribution, freight, logistics, or shipping/receiving experience
- Hands-on experience coordinating LTL, FTL, parcel, and common-carrier freight shipments
- Experience using NetSuite ERP/WMS or similar for receiving, shipping, inventory transactions, and order fulfillment
- Understanding of freight documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and carrier paperwork
- Strong inventory accuracy and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in a warehouse environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of warehouse KPIs, inventory control, and cycle counting procedures
- Experience leading projects, training employees, or serving as a team lead
- Lean, continuous improvement, or process improvement experience
- Must be located in one of the 50 states of the United States or Washington DC
