Job Summary
Load and unload materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves using hand, forklift, hand truck, and electric pallet jack. Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved, then convey items from storage to the designated loading area. Count and record units handled, breakage, and spoilage on appropriate sheets while attaching tags or labeling containers. Stack, assemble, and wrap bundles; perform housekeeping and grounds maintenance. Lift 60 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment with loud noise and exposure to outside weather, combustibles, and machinery.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds
- Must be available for outside weather conditions
- Must be able to operate a fork lift, hand truck and/or electric pallet jack
- Must be able to read work orders or follow oral instructions
