Job Summary
Load and unload materials for sale and distribution using hand trucks, electric pallet jacks, and forklifts. Move items onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves while reading work orders or following oral instructions. Count and record units moved, breakage, and spoilage on appropriate sheets. Attach identifying tags, mark information on cases, stack materials into bundles, and wrap them. Perform housekeeping and grounds maintenance in the warehouse and sales center offices. This role requires lifting 60 pounds, working in a loud environment with exposure to outside weather, combustibles, and large machinery.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work in a loud work environment
- Must be able to work outside weather conditions
- Must be able to work around combustibles
- Must be able to work around large machinery and mechanical parts
- Must be able to load and unload materials by hand, fork lift, hand truck and/or electric pallet jack
- Must be able to read work orders or follow oral instructions
- Must be able to count and record number of units of materials moved or handled, breakage and spoilage
- Must be able to attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases and other containers
- Must be able to stack or assemble materials into bundles and wrap bundles together
- Must be able to perform housekeeping and grounds maintenance warehouse and sales center offices
