Job Summary
Unload and break down freight, sort and organize loads, and operate material handling equipment including electric pallet jacks. Scan items using RF technology to produce packing lists, remove goods from bins, and place them onto conveyor belts. Repack and label freight, identify unusable pallets, and maintain work areas in clean, hazard-free conditions while operating machinery like bailers and shrink wrappers. Perform duties in a physically demanding environment involving continuous lifting and standing for eight to ten hours. Overtime and weekends are required during peak volumes.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months warehouse experience with ride on Electric Pallet Jack
- Work in a physically demanding warehouse environment – continuously lifting and moving up to 50lbs
- Warehouse material handling equipment certification (ie electric pallet jack)
- Meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards
- Excellent customer service
- Overtime/Weekends will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
- Ability to work in various climate conditions (potentially including cooler/freezers)
- Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time
- Standing/climbing 8 to 10 hours per day
- Safety shoes are required
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Basic ability to read, count and use RF Scanner technology (training provided)
