Job Summary
Load and unload delivery trucks to ensure timely product distribution, while receiving, verifying, and strategically storing incoming items to maintain inventory accuracy. Utilize handheld scanners for load verifications and quality control, collaborating with other departments to support operational efficiency. Work in cold conditions within a refrigerated environment of 33-38 degrees Fahrenheit, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate staircases safely.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn warehouse equipment operation
- Ability to work with various products, including yeast and flour
- Must pass pre-employment background check
- The ability to maintain a standing or walking position for extended periods without compromise
- Proficiency in navigating staircases safely and efficiently
- The capacity to consistently lift and maneuver loads of up to 30 lbs., with occasional requirements to manage weights of up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated strength to perform heavy pushing and pulling of products without risk of injury
- Resilience to work effectively in refrigerated environments, specifically within the temperature range of 33-38 degrees Fahrenheit
- The fortitude to operate in an environment characterized by exposure to loud machinery, when operational needs dictate
