Job Summary
Manage warehouse operations by receiving incoming product, verifying contents against packing lists, and counting inventory items. Process customer orders through picking, packing, and shipping while maintaining knowledge of US and international shipping requirements. Handle return authorizations for incorrect orders and process returns correctly. Answer customer inquiries via phone and email professionally and timely. Maintain warehouse organization, storage conditions, and designated aisles while adhering to safety standards and performing general maintenance tasks. Participate in continuous improvement projects and cost-saving measures. Work Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 3 PM for 24 hours per week at e3 Diagnostics HQ in Arlington Heights, IL, earning $20/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED degree
- 1-2 years distribution or warehouse experience
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, speak, and comprehend in English simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Be a self-motivated individual
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task proactively and re-prioritize on a daily basis to accommodate the changing business requirements
- Demonstrate proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing across all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical scenarios
- Demonstrate the ability to apply common sense understanding when carrying out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and sit for long periods of time during a daily routine
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times
- Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes
- Clear background check including criminal history and education verification
- Must be available for Monday–Thursday 9 AM-3 PM
- Must be available for 24 hours per week
