Job Summary
Unload freight from trucks and trailers using manual or motorized equipment, then compare goods received against packing slips to ensure order accuracy. Inspect items for damage, notify supervisors of discrepancies, and scan products into inventory control systems. Maintain adequate stock on sales floor and warehouse shelves by transporting inventory between locations and participating in physical inventory counts. Accurately pick items from customer orders, prepare shipments, and load product onto trucks or customer vehicles. Occasionally drive a company vehicle to transport items or pick up goods from various locations. Keep the warehouse clean and organized while adhering to safety standards and reporting suspicious activity.
Required Qualifications
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand/walk for up to 10 hours
- Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Ability to continuously climb and descend stairs safely
- Willing and able to work on powered equipment (e.g. forklift)
- Previous forklift experience
