Warehouse Associate

Job Summary
Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup by loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping items. Pull inventory for shipments and ensure correct materials are loaded onto trucks. Operate and maintain warehouse equipment while navigating the facility to collect customer orders. Record merchandise according to standard operating procedures and attach accurate labels to all processed orders. Maintain a clean, safe working environment and comply with all warehouse safety regulations. Communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and customers, including conducting counter sales to general contractors. Use technology to manage logistics processes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
- Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates
- Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds
- Occasional lifting over 50 pounds
- Must be able to operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment
- Must be able to follow all applicable safety regulations and processes as associated with driving, vehicle check, material handling and customer site specifics
- Must be able to interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
- Must be able to counter sales to General Contractors
- Must be able to use technology to help manage the logistics process
- Must be able to navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders
- Must be able to follow all warehouse safety regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware is a plus
- Experience driving trucks for delivery preferred
