Job Summary
Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup by loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping merchandise. Pull inventory for shipments and ensure correct materials are loaded onto trucks. Navigate equipment through the warehouse to collect customer orders and load finished product. Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment while following all safety regulations, procedures, and rules. Record selected merchandise according to standard operating procedures and ensure complete labels are attached to all processed orders. Communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and customers, including conducting counter sales to General Contractors. Use technology to manage logistics processes and maintain a clean, safe working environment that optimizes space utilization.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
- Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates
- Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds
- Occasional lifting over 50 pounds
- Conditions will include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery
- Using various tools and hardware
- Subject to frequent heavy lifting
- May require driving to project sites
- Exposed to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware is a plus
- Experience driving trucks for delivery preferred
