Warehouse Associate

Job Summary
Receives incoming freight, checks material for damages or shortages, and distributes stock to proper locations. Fills special orders and backorders, packs delivery materials, and coordinates truck routes with carriers or internal fleets. Maintains assigned inventory stock locations with correct locators and neat shelving, while tracking daily driver logs and vehicle inspection sheets. Operates and maintains all equipment safely, adhering to traffic and safety regulations. Informs departments of stock outs, inventory discrepancies, and other concerns. May assist the City Desk with order entry, returns, and expediting, and provide delivery to customer sites.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of work experience
- Prior warehouse distribution experience
- Forklift operation
- Knowledge of electrical products/systems
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license to operate company vehicle
- Current medical certification (if required)
- Full understanding of truck routes
- Ability to coordinate deliveries with own trucks, assigned freight companies, or other carriers
- Ability to effectively plan and organize
- Excellent interpersonal communication (reading, writing, and speaking in English)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to perform all aspects of the job as accurately, efficiently, and safely as possible
- Ability to lift and carry materials (weight and frequency as defined in Physical Requirements)

Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of work experience preferred
- Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation and knowledge of electrical products/systems is also preferred
- PC working knowledge for Windows, internet, email and SAP software is a plus
