Job Summary
Conduct daily warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping materials while maintaining safety standards and equipment upkeep. Operate delivery vehicles up to 50% of the time to transport products to customers, branch locations, and suppliers, ensuring accurate loading, vehicle inspections, and proper documentation. Perform inventory counts, operate forklifts and other machinery, and assist with counter sales or customer support as needed. This role supports the Platt Distribution Center team at Rexel USA in Kent, WA.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record
- Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 30 days of hire
- Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years
- Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Occasionally – up to 20%
- Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to handle loads with a combine weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW
- Must be able to handle Up to 10 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to handle Up to 25 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to handle Up to 50 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to climb or balance
- Must be able to talk, hear, taste, smell
- Must follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local and state driving laws and regulations
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers
- Ability to handle basic issues and problems
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to accurately complete job tasks
- Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and be familiar with traffic and driver laws
- Travels to offsite locations - Frequently – 21% to 50%
Desired Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience a plus
- Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred
- High School or GED - Preferred
- General knowledge of electrical products a plus
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to handle loads with a combine weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW
