Job Summary
Pick and load products for customers, third-party carriers, and company vehicles using safe material handling equipment like forklifts. Manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring proper FIFO compliance and inspecting returned items for damage. Assist branch managers and sales associates with inventory management and other duties as required. Operate all equipment in strict compliance with company policies, government regulations, and the Zero Harm safety culture. Engage customers professionally via face-to-face interaction, phone, or email to ensure a positive experience. Report safety incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions immediately and assist in investigations. Maintain PPE compliance and conduct pre-trip and post-inspections on all equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of warehouse experience
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- High School diploma or equivalent combined education and experience
- Strong interpersonal, customer relationship and decision-making skills
- Effective and professional communication and organization skills
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team in a high-volume fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills
- That licenses and certifications are current and valid
- Speed limits are obeyed
- Ensure proper pre-trip and post-inspections are conducted
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office software is a plus
- HVAC industry experience preferred including warehouse and forklift operations
