Job Summary
As a Warehouse Associate at Baker Distributing Company, you will support inventory management and the daily transfer of HVAC freight in a fast-paced warehouse. Responsibilities include picking and verifying customer orders, conducting quality inspections, loading and unloading products, receiving and stocking merchandise, performing daily forklift/warehouse equipment operations, maintaining accurate inventory counts, and adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements. You will collaborate with management to meet production standards, participate in safety trainings, and help ensure timely dispatch of products to customers and vendors. Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, a focus on customer service, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent experience may be considered
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may substitute
- Demonstrated experience with HVAC equipment in a wholesale distribution setting
- Background in sales, operations, purchasing, or inventory management preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service, problem-solving, and relationship-building
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed
- Demonstrated interest in continuous learning, mentoring, and leadership
- Mechanical or technical experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools; assistive technologies may be used to support this function
- A valid driver’s license is required only if driving is an essential function of the role
