Job Summary
Receive material, check for defects, and confirm counts. Accurately assemble orders from inventory, package for shipping, and load, check, and pick orders while entering data into the computer system. Fabricate metal doors and frames while following established quality and safety standards. Maintain an organized work area and interact daily with production coordinators to communicate progress and receive instructions. Perform general warehouse duties as assigned. Requires a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
- Frequent moderate physical effort
- Use hands and fingers to control, handle and feel objects
- Lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds when necessary
- Ability to see details of an object from a distance and close-up
- Talk and hear in person and by telephone
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to interpret and manipulate common computer software programs
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using unity of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to take and understand measurements in millimeters
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to use industry specific instruments
- Ability to use precision measurement devices
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience with shipping and receiving in a warehouse setting
- Preferred experience with fabrication or welding
