Warehouse Associate 1st Shift

Job Summary
Prepare shipments, unload and load trucks, and drive to customer sites to deliver products. Pull and stage next day's orders for bulk and package drivers while operating vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations. Perform drumming, repackaging, and rail car unloading as needed, and complete all required paperwork timely. Check with Operations Management for shift instructions and assist dispatchers and fleet maintenance. Maintain a clean, safe facility, ensure proper shutdown procedures, and handle special projects as assigned. Work in both inside and outside environments under varying weather conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous warehouse experience (filling/packaging/picking)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts (stand-up and sit-down), pallet jacks, cherry pickers, etc.
- Knowledge of procedures to secure cargo in or on a commercial vehicle
- Ability to successfully complete the forklift certification test
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while performing multiple duties and tasks
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Ability to follow company safety and quality procedures and guidelines consistently
- Proven ability to complete position responsibilities within the allotted timeframe
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently
- Effectively represents the company and is responsive to the needs of internal/external customers
- Working knowledge of a WMS and handheld technology
