Job Summary

Process incoming inventory, shelf processed books, and ship orders from inventory while performing routine maintenance functions. Pick books from shelves to sort into totes, prepare packing areas, manually pack orders with inserts, and prep packages for shipping. Maintain inventory control by removing aged stock, straightening shelves, cleaning aisles, and utilizing software to correct inventory errors. Document work time accurately, keep work areas clean per 5S expectations, and report errors to leadership. Use pallet jacks, box cutters, and conveyors safely while standing for 8-10 hours. Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, maintaining productivity standards and adhering to company values.

Required Qualifications

  • 16 years of age or older
  • Must be available for 2nd shift 130pm-10pm
  • Must be able to safely climb step stools and ladders
  • Must be able to consistently lift 50 lbs throughout the shift, including reaching, stooping and bending
  • Must be able to stand on feet for 8-10 hours at a time
  • Must be able to use a pallet jack, baler, box cutter, conveyors, and other tools in a safe manner
  • Must be able to use a computer, tablet, scan gun, and various inventory management programs
  • Must be able to use a computer to check email and utilize the internet
  • Must be able to focus on a single task for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to use correct tools and methods as described in Standard Operating Procedures
  • Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs throughout the shift
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, fun, exciting, and entrepreneurial environment
  • Must have a positive attitude of a team player

  • Must be able to shelve and re-shelve books using the proper locator code
  • Must be able to utilize software to correct any inventory errors and flush old inventory
  • Must be able to pick books from shelves and sort to totes (based on shipping group and process)
  • Must be able to prep packing area by placing books, pick sheets, and pack sheets in the proper bin
  • Must be able to manually pack orders, ensuring that inserts are added when applicable
  • Must be able to prep packages for proper shipping
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail

Desired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • One year continuous work history preferred
