Job Summary
Pick books from shelves, sort totes based on shipping groups, and manually pack orders with applicable inserts. Shelf and re-shelve books using proper locator codes while performing inventory maintenance, removing aged stock, and cleaning aisles. Process incoming inventory, ship orders from stock, and utilize software to correct inventory errors. Document work time accurately, maintain 5S work areas, and report errors to supervisors. Required Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- One year continuous work history
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use a computer, tablet, scan gun, and various inventory management programs
- Ability to focus on a single task for extended periods of time
- Ability to use a pallet jack, baler, box cutter, conveyors, and other tools in a safe manner
- Ability to use a computer to check email and utilize the internet
- Ability to stand on feet for 8-10 hours at a time
- Ability to safely climb step stools and ladders
- Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs throughout the shift, including reaching, stooping and bending
