Job Summary
Receive parts from suppliers, ship product to customers, and open boxes while using a bar code scanning device. Safely select, lift, and move parts weighing up to 40 pounds from various heights on a repetitive basis, and confirm accuracy of received materials. Operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks, loading small parcel carriers with mobile equipment. Sort product by size and weight to stage for proper put-away, replenish bin and rack areas, and maintain cleanliness through sweeping and moving pallets. This position involves prolonged standing and walking for 8+ hours with overtime based on business needs. Employees cross-train across warehouse areas as staffing levels fluctuate.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- ability to speak, read and understand basic English
- basic computer knowledge
- minimum 1 year applicable experience in a production environment
- minimum 1 year experience operating mobile equipment: fork lift, order selector, reach truck
- ability to safely select, lift, and move parts that vary in size and weigh up to 40 pounds from various height locations, floor level and up, on a repetitive basis
- ability to work in excess of 20 - 30 feet off floor level
- ability to load Small Parcel Carriers using mobile equipment
- ability to perform housekeeping including sweeping, moving boxes and pallets to appropriate area, and maintain cleanliness of work area
- ability to sort product of various size and weight amounts and stage for proper warehouse put away
- ability to confirm accuracy of received materials and verify quality and quantity of parts received
- ability to replenish parts in bin and rack areas throughout warehouse
- ability to concept parts to fit location
- ability to stand/walk for 8 or more hours based on overtime and business needs
- ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40lbs
- ability to perform repetitive bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
- ability to cross-train by working in any area need it based on business needs and staffing levels
- ability to use a bar code scanning device
