Job Summary
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for loading and unloading materials and equipment, handling inventory transactions in the ERP system, and preparing materials for shipment. Key duties include verifying conditions of shipments, performing inspections, and routing materials to designated locations. The role also involves picking materials for manufacturing orders, assisting with inventory counts, and maintaining safety and cleanliness within the warehouse. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have basic material handling knowledge, and the ability to lift over 50 pounds, along with a willingness to work in various temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, equivalency certificate, or proof of sufficient reading, mathematics, and computer skills to fulfill essential functions
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of material handling processes
- Forklift operator experience is preferred
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
