Job Summary
Assign workers to accurately pull customer orders and ship within specified timeframes while administering safety programs to ensure a healthy environment. Coordinate activities with purchasing, merchandising, sales, and finance departments to ensure merchandise availability, and manage the fleet of trucks and drivers. Assist in establishing operational procedures for shipment verification, inventory handling, and damaged merchandise reclamation. Communicate timely updates to Operations and Warehouse management to expedite receipt and shipping. Direct supervisory responsibilities including training, performance appraisal, and complaint resolution. This role supports the Cleveland, OH branch of Scott Electric Company, one of the largest independent electrical distributors in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in similar management positions
- Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management
- Time management skills and the ability to delegate
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software
- Ability to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must execute an Employment Agreement that includes a restrictive covenant (Non-Compete, Non-Disclosure)
