Warehouse Assistant

Job Summary
Assist in daily shipping, receiving, and delivery duties while maintaining the warehouse and yard as neat, organized, and free of safety violations. Perform stock pulls, inventory transfers, and staging equipment for upcoming jobs by priority. Execute yard operations, loading and unloading delivery trucks, and loading Semitrailers for deliveries. Support spare fleet operations including vehicle delivery and cleaning, and assist with light building maintenance as necessary. Report protocol violations and building safety concerns immediately to management. Cross train in all warehouse aspects to qualify as a backup. Some delivery driving may be required. A valid Florida Driver's License and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. are essential.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of three (3) years of warehouse experience in the coordination and organization of inventoried materials (preferably in a commercial construction setting)
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Good computer skills in Microsoft Office Products
- Must have a Valid Florida Driver's License
- Must be able to see well (either naturally or with correction); use hands, fingers, arms and legs fully; lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; climb and balance on ladders and scaffolds; stand for long periods of time
- Must comply with all B&I safety procedures
- Must pass a drug test, background check and have a clean driving record
