Job Summary
Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise. Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in the delivery area. Sort and place items on racks, shelves, or bins according to organizational standards. Open bales, crates, and containers while maintaining inventory controls through stock location orders and physical counts. Prepare parcels for mailing and keep the warehouse safe and clean by organizing shelves, pallet areas, and work stations. Sweep, dust, and mop to ensure orderliness at all times while wearing proper safety equipment. This role involves regular lifting of objects up to 50 lbs and occasional handling of items over 100 lbs, with frequent standing, walking, and stooping.
Required Qualifications
- Wear the proper safety equipment
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus
