Job Summary
Manage all aspects of receiving and shipping goods and trade show materials while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Receive and identify items in the SAP material management module, stock goods from suppliers and customers, and place received items in appropriate inventory areas. Sort and prepare outgoing shipments for customer orders, returns, and sales personnel, properly packing equipment based on weight, shape, and fragility to prevent damage. This role reports to the Client Relations Manager in Houston, TX, with a base pay range of $20.78-$23.56 per hour. Anton Paar USA focuses on selling high-precision measuring instruments for physical, chemical, mechanical, and structural properties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience as either a warehouse specialist or shipping/receiving specialist
- Strong customer service skills and good communication skills
- Displays a sense of urgency in resolving issues quickly and efficiently
- Basic computer skills
- Receives and identifies items in SAP material management module
- Stocks goods received from parent company, suppliers, customers, or affiliated personnel that are shipped
- Places received goods in the appropriate area (e.g., inventory, designated service area, or contacts appropriate personnel to retrieve goods)
- Sorts and prepares goods for outgoing shipments, including customer orders, returns to parent company, shipments to salespeople, and tradeshow materials
- Properly packs equipment based on weight, shape and fragility to prevent damage
