Job Summary
Maintain the Mars Hill warehouse inventory, oversee fleet quality assurance, and manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of renewable energy assets. Retrieve technology assets, liaise with vendors for inbound and outbound shipments, and keep detailed records of warehouse activities. Inspect and maintain equipment, vehicles, and trailers while ensuring safe use of warehouse space and staff safety. Lead the Appalachia hub in keeping the facility clean, organized, and compliant, including trash removal and restocking water. Support the New Orleans-based coordinator in managing domestic assets and implement operational procedures to improve tracking and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment and demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations, fleet management, and/or logistics and inventory management
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly
- Basic Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets proficiency
- Basic math and computer skills
- Skilled in critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving
- Motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and excellent communicator
- Willing and able to take direction from a supervisor
- An interest in 'building back greener' after climate disasters
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Experience and comfort towing trailers
- OSHA Forklift Certification
- Background in solar (photovoltaic) technical work and/or electrical work
- Experience operating heavy equipment or machinery
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Bilingual in Spanish or advanced proficiency
- HAZMAT Class 9 Shipping Certification
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
- Salesforce or other CRM software proficiency
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
